Assigned Problems

These problems will be collected. I may grade some of the problems, but your grade will be based primarily on whether or not you make an honest effort to do the problems. There are 100 points available in these problems, and they are worth 15% of the course grade.

Since you have (more than) adequate lead time, late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances. I recommend that you complete the assignments early.

The homework can be done by hand, or using a calculator (handheld or online), or using a computer software program. See the Linear Algebra Software page for some options.

If you do the assigned homework using a calculator or computer, record the calculator or software program that you used and submit the keystrokes/commands that you used to do the problems — as well as the problem answers of course.

The list below contains links to the assigned problems. Each problem set is available in both pdf and (accessible) html formats — suit yourself.

However, I would like you to print out the pdf version, write up your solutions on this print out, and submit this hard copy. If doing this is a real issue for you, let me know and we can come up with an alternate plan.

Additional help with the problems can be found here.
