Positions Available

Lecturer

Applications are invited for one or more lecturer positions in statistics or mathematics beginning August 27, 2018. These positions entail teaching a wide variety of introductory undergraduate mathematics and statistics courses, from basic algebra concepts up through statistics, calculus, and linear algebra. For a candidate with a focus in statistics, the position will involve higher level undergraduate courses as well. The position is a full-time continuing appointment contingent on satisfactory performance and instructional need.

Applicants must have a graduate degree in statistics or mathematics. A PhD is preferred but not required. Applicants must have prior University teaching experience. Experience with multi-section lecture/recitation classes is highly desired. Applicants should be proficient with the use of technology in teaching mathematics.

The teaching load is 15 credit hours per semester, typically including two large multi-section lectures and two other classes. Consideration of applications will begin February 26, 2018 and will continue until the position(s) is filled.
