Tenure-Track in Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Toledo invites applications for a Tenure-Track position in the following areas: Geometry, Harmonic Analysis, Nonlinear and Geometric Analysis, and Partial Differential Equations. Substantial preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrated research interest in one or more of the following areas: Data Science, Signal and Image Processing, Astrophysics, Renewable Energy, Financial Mathematics, Stochastic Processes, Critical Phenomena. Candidates with research interests in other areas of interest to the department and aligned with the applications noted above are also encouraged to apply.

Duties include teaching courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, conducting research, and engaging in departmental and professional service. The teaching load is consistent with other doctoral granting departments. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics at the time of appointment, and must be able to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in research and teaching. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers bachelors, masters, and Ph.D. degrees in pure and applied mathematics and statistics with a strong tradition in both pure and applied research.
